The Chimpanzee Trekking Experience Chimp trekking generally starts in the morning or afternoon with a briefing by park rangers. Visitors are split into small groups and an experienced guide and tracker takes them into the rainforest. Treks are generally two to four hours long—how fast you find the chimpanzees.
