3 Days Uganda Big Five Safari ; This is a short Uganda safari tour package leading you to northwestern Uganda, home of the Big five mammals. Visit Murchison Falls National Park, home to a vast array of wildlife, including 76 mammals and 450 birds, among others.

You will also visit Ziwa Rhino National Park, the only home for white rhinos in Uganda. Through visiting both Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only way to bring up a full package to explore the Uganda Big five. The African Big Five mammals include the lion, elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses.

Activities to experience: Rhino tracking, game drive and boat cruise on the Nile delta.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park- Rhino Tracking

You will start your safari by pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park  with a stop enroute at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakitoma for rhino tracking.  After rhino tracking, proceed to Masindi for a picnic lunch. After lunch, continue to the park, where you will drive straight to the top of the falls for picture taking and a stunning view of the powerful falls. Connect to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge before heading out on a morning game drive around the Nile delta with an armed guide. During your game drive, expect to spot a vast array of animals, such as elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, giraffes, lions, spotted hyenas, Jackson’s harebeest, waterbucks, oribis, bush babies, and leopards, among others.

Break for lunch at the lodge.

 In the afternoon, embark on the boat cruise at the Nile River, where you will cruise near Hippos, crocodiles and view herds of elephants, waterbucks, and Kobs along the waterbank. You will also watch water bird species such as the Goliath Heron, Egyptian Geese, Pelicans, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, hornbills, the rare Shoebill stork, and cormorants.

Back to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

 

Day 3: Depart to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

Start with a delicious breakfast, then drive around the Victoria Nile to encounter the cultural songs and drummer.  After, proceed on the journey back to Kampala to be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe Airport for your next destination.
