The kanangorok hot springs, are located in kidepo valley national park in the far north Eastern part of Uganda, the springs are situated in the northern part of the park beyond kidepo river boarding South Sudan boarder it’s one of the best places to sit and relax in kidepo national park while viewing the wilderness at its best.
The kanangorok spring water is about 50°c temperature hot that can boil an egg. The locals believe that, the water from kanangorok hot springs contains some healing powers or spiritual cleansing hence tourists can find some people bathing therein also some people visit the kanangorok hot springs to find healing they have heard about.
Kidepo national park has a rich diversity therefore containing over five hundred bird species, six hundred plant species, over 80 mammals and twenty eight of the Kidepo valley national park mammals are not recorded in any other national park in Uganda.
Kidepo is ranked third after queen Elizabeth national park in the south west and Murchison falls national park in Uganda with for its mammal and bird diversity, some of the unique animals of Kidepo ate the stripped hyena, cheetah, and mountain reedbuck among the rest.
