2022 Kidepo valley national park entrance fees; Kidepo valley national park is one of the most amazing national park in Uganda located in north eastern region between Uganda’s border with Sudan and Kenya. The national park was gazetted in 1962 and covers a total land area of 1,442 square kilometers which is comprised of open savannah grassland, acacia forest, mountain forests among others which act as habitat for more than 77 mammal species including elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, elands, giraffes, Jacksons hartebeest, oribi, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, black backed jackal, mountain reedbucks, roan antelope, dik dik, Beisa oryx, greater and lesser kudu, klipspringer and over 475 bird species including ostrich, kori bustard, pygmy falcon, Egyptian vulture among others.
Park entrance fees is the amount of money that is collected by Uganda Wildlife Authority from any visitor in order to access Kidepo valley national park. The money that is collected is used to support the park development, improve the livelihood of the local communities by supporting community development projects like construction of schools, road infrastructure among others.
2022 Kidepo valley national park entrance fees
Adults
Foreign non resident adults pay 40 USD per person, foreign residents pay 30 USD per person and East African citizens pay 20,000 UGX per person.
Children
Foreign non residents pay 20 USD per child, foreign resident pay 10 USD per child and East African citizens pay 5,000 USD per child.
Ugandan pupils or students in a group pay 3,000 UGX per person
Tertiary institutions/universities pay 5,000 UGX per person
Uganda wildlife clubs pay 2,000 UGX per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance passes apply to all protected areas for only foreign residents in Uganda while on Uganda Safaris Tours and east African citizens and vehicle entrance is paid separately. Foreign residents require a work permit which is valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.

Foreign residents pay 350 USD per individual and East African citizens pay 150,000 UGX per individual

Foreign residents pay 500 USD per couple and East African citizens pay 200,000 UGX per couple
Family with a maximum of 4 children
Foreign residents pay 700 USD per family and East African citizens pay 300,000 UGX per family
Annual corporate pass
Foreign residents pay 1,500 USD and east African citizens pay 2,500,000 UGX
A safari guide pays 100,000 UGX annual entrance pass
A taxi driver pays 100,000 UGX annual entrance pass and a tour company driver enters for free.

Foreign non resident motorcycles are charged 30 USD, 5 USD foreign residents and 10,000 UGX for east African citizens.
Saloon cars
Foreign non resident saloon cars are charged 40 USD, 10 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Minibuses, omni-buses
Foreign non resident minibuses are charged 50USD, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Pick-ups
Foreign non resident pick-ups are charged 50 USD, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for east African citizens.
Tour company vehicles and 4 wheel drive
Foreign non resident tour company vehicles are charged 150 USD, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 east African citizens.
Over landers
Foreign non resident over landers are charged 150 USD, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens
Buses and Lorries
Foreign non resident buses and Lorries are charged 150 USD, 75 USD for foreign residents and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens
School buses
Foreign resident school buses are charged 25 USD and 50,000 UGX for East African citizens
Delivery vehicle per entry
Foreign resident delivery vehicles are charged 10 USD per entry and 20,000 UGX per entry for East African citizens
Aircraft landing fees
Gliders, microlights for foreign non residents is charged 10 USD, 10 USD for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX for East African citizens
Up to 3 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 20 USD, 20 USD for foreign resident and 40,000 UGX for East African citizens
4 to 6 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 30 USD, 30 USD for foreign residents and 60,000 UGX for east African citizens
7 to 14 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 40 USD, 40 USD for foreign residents and 80,000 UGX for east African citizens
15 to 20 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 50 USD, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
21 seats and above aircraft for foreign non resident is charged 60 USD, 60 USD for foreign residents and 120,000 UGX for east African citizens.
Helicopters for foreign non residents are charged 100 USD per landing, 125 USD for foreign residents and 250,000 UGX for east African citizens.
Aircraft landing fees exclude entry fees payable by passengers and pilots en-route do not pay entry fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.

Day game drives per vehicle
Foreign non residents are charged 20 USD per vehicle, 20 USD per vehicle for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX per vehicle for East African citizens
Night game drives per person
Foreign non residents are charged 30 USD per person, 30 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Only pre-registered vehicles will undertake night game drives and use of UWA guides is mandatory for night game drive.
Guided nature walks and birding
Birding
Foreign non residents are charged 30 USD per person, 30 USD for foreign residents and 10,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Day nature walk
Foreign non residents are charged 15 USD per person, 15 USD per person for foreign residents and 10,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.
Kidepo Lonyili summit hike
Foreign non residents are charged 50 USD per person, 50 USD per person for foreign residents and 50,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.
