Which National Park In Uganda Is Famous For Ostriches? Kidepo valley national park is famously known as the game park in Uganda that harbours Ostricthes in large numbers. This national park is located in the North Eastern region of Uganda in Kabong district and it was first gazette as a game reserve in 1958 and later established as a national park in 1962 after Uganda acquired its independence. There are the male and female ostriches whereby the male are easily identified because of their black colour with white wings, brown eyes, and have a tail feathers whereas the female ostriches are identified because of their brownish grey color and they take about three to four years to fully mature. In addition, the unique part about these ostriches is that hiss, boom, but most of the times, the male ostriches are usually noticed roaring like lions which is abit confusing to know whether it is a lion or an ostrich roaring. Ostrich species are very strong birds that are even capable of harming by kicking predators like lions or humans, which can even lead to their death.
