3 Days Flying Safari to Bwindi
3 Days Flying Safari to Bwindi is a very short but interesting safari to Western Uganda to trek gorillas in Bwindi. This safari does not have us visiting Kidepo National park but its a very unique safari as one gets to fly over Uganda on tour.
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Kick start the 3 Days Flying Safari to Bwindi by asking your hotel to drop you off to Entebbe airport for your flight to Bwindi and be helped by an Aerolink staff to check-in. Aerolink operates two scheduled daily flights to Bwindi-Kihihi at 07:45 am and 12:45pm, whilst Kisoro only one scheduled flight in the morning due to the weather changing conditions in Kisoro, so your flight will depend on availability and sector of gorilla trekking. As you land at Kihihi/Kisoro, your driver / guide will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge where you will unwind. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Mahogany Springs lodge for luxury
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking experience
Have breakfast and transfer to the park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by the ranger guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range.
You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a restful evening. Have dinner overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe & Departure.
Have breakfast as you conclude the 3 Days Flying Safari to Bwindi and meet your driver to report at either airstrip for your check-in time for your return domestic flight back to Entebbe. When you arrive at Entebbe, you will either connect to your hotel or stay at the airport to wait for your international flight back home. End of 3 days gorilla flying option.
