Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kitgum, depending on your location on day 1 of the 5 days Kidepo wildlife and Aruu falls safari our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kidepo valley national park which is located in the north eastern Uganda. On the way you will enjoy great views of the beautiful landscape, countryside, plantaions and en-route lunch in Gulu town. After lunch you will proceed the journey to Kitgum district where you will arrive in the evening, check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park-afternoon game drive
On day 2 of the 5 days Aruu falls & Kidepo wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to proceed the journey to Kidepo valley national park. Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will drive to Narus valley which is known for harboring high concentration of wildlife species. During the game drive you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, oribi, elands, warthogs among others which gather around the valley to drink water during the dry season, view carnivores like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas if you are lucky and different bird species. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Kitgum
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on day 3 of the 5 days Aruu falls & Kidepo wildlife safari your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive in the park where you will be able to views animals like buffaloes, elands, bohor reedbuck, oribi, Jacksons hartebeest, waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, elephants, kudus, bushbucks which will be grazing in the open savannah plains, view predators like cheetahs, leopards, jackal, lions, hyenas before they go back to their hiding areas and bird species like Kori bustard, ostriches, yellow barbet, dark chanting goshawk, secretary bird among others. After the game drive you will return back to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kitgum for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Aruu falls and Gulu district
After an early breakfast on day 4 of the 5 days safari, you will check out of the hotel, carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Aruu waterfalls which are situated in Pader district in northern Uganda. The journey from Kitgum to Aruu falls takes about 4 kilometers and upon arrival you will engage in a waterfalls tour where you will have thrilling views of the waterfall, beautiful scenery, listen to roars of the water and enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the large rocks at the bottom of the falls as you enjoy the cool breeze from the waters. After the Aruu falls experience you will transfer to Gulu district where you will check in at the hotel for dinner and spend a night.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala
After breakfast on the last day of the 5 days Aruu falls & Kidepo wildlife safari, you will check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On the way you will have en-route lunch and then continue the journey to Kampala arriving in the evening. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or dropped off at any place of advise.
