Park entrance fees for Murchison falls national park in 2022-2023; Murchison falls national park is the largest and one of the most visited national parks in Uganda. Murchison falls national park is a home of different wildlife species including buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, oribi, hippos, Nile crocodiles, hyenas, primates like chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons and over 450 bird species. Park entrance fees are the fares charged by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to all visitors above the age on 5 years in order to access Murchison falls national park and engage in different activities like game drives, boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, sport fishing, top of the falls view, Nile delta boat cruise, chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest, nature walks among others.
A day’s park entrance ticket is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance and extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. All visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm resident status and Covid 19 vaccination card. Entrance fees are independent of package activities like chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, nature walk among others. Children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Foreign non residents are charged 45 USD per person, 35 USD per person for foreign residents and 25,000 UGX per person for East African citizens
Children
Foreign non residents are charged 25 USD per child, 15 USD per child for foreign residents and 10,000 UGX per child for East African citizens.
Ugandan pupils and students in a group are charged 3,000 UGX per person
Tertiary institutions or universities are charged 5,000 UGX per person
Uganda wildlife clubs are charged 2,000 UGX per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance pass applies to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and east African citizens only, vehicle entrance is paid separately. Foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.

Foreign residents are charged 350 USD and East African citizens are charged 350,000 UGX.
Couple
Foreign residents are charged 600 USD and East African citizens are charged 500,000 UGX

Safari guide is charged 200,000 UGX annual park entrance pass, a taxi driver is charged 150,000 UGX and a tour company driver is not charged.
Vehicle, boat, aircraft entry and landing fees
Vehicle and boat entry fees are charged per 24 hours except for concessionaire visitor vehicles who pay once per trip in the park. Vehicle entrance to Murchison falls national park is charged an addition of USD 10 for foreign registered vehicles and 10,000 UGX for Ugandan registered vehicles. Rescue vehicles to be charged the same rate as other vehicles according to the vehicle classification.

15 to 20 seater aircraft for foreign residents is charged 50 USD per landing and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
21 seats and above aircraft for foreign residents is charged 60 USD per landing and 120,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Foreign resident helicopter is charged 125 USD per landing and 250,000 UGX for East African citizens

Foreign non residents are charged 30 USD per person, 25 USD per person for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX per person for East African citizens

Foreign non residents and foreign residents are charged 50 USD per person for one day and 150 USD per person for four days while annual fishing permit costs 300 USD and the sport fishing permit excludes park entrance fees.
