 Day 1: Arrival and airport pick up

You meet up with our representative on arrival at Entebbe international Airport who will be your safari guide all through your tour into Uganda. You will set out on 35 km travel to your hotel in Kampala City. Check into your hotel after a 1-hour drive.

Day 2: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is average 400km north of Kampala City. This is the first day of your safari into Uganda and begins shortly after an early for breakfast.

You will ease your way through the thick traffic jam in Kampala and drive on smoothly to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary 3-hours drive away. You will tour the sanctuary and track rhinos on foot.

Shortly, after lunch you resume travel into Murchison Falls National Park. You will visit the top of the falls and tour the magnificent landscape. You will check into your hotel on the edge of the Nile and sleep to loud grunts of hippos.

Day 3: Game drive, afternoon boat cruise

Murchison Falls is a unique Uganda safaris destination abundantly blessed with stunning beauty and a large variety of game.

You will traverse the Albertine rift and wander into the grasslands. Elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeests, hippos, buffalos, a variety of antelopes and beautiful bird species are residents in here.

Boat Cruise

The game viewing safari brings travelers into close contact with game. The afternoon 2-hour boat cruise on the Nile is an excellent way of exploring water wildlife species and adventuring in a relaxed way.

Day 4: Travel to Kibale Forest

Kibale National Park is approximately 8-hours travel away. The road is dirt in some parts and getting an upgrade currently.  You set out early morning, traverse the rift and ascend the escarpment. The travel wanders through the indigenous communities in the countryside.

You will arrive in Fort Portal town and have a break to freshen up. You will check into your hotel on the edges of the Kibale rainforest overflowing with stunning beauty. Relax and enjoy wonderful feelings of Uganda safari.

Day 5: Tracking chimpanzees 

Today you explore Kibale rainforest; home to dozen primate species. Chimpanzee tracking expeditions start early morning to catch up with chimpanzees before they have disappeared into deeper rainforests. You will wander into the jungle with ranger escorts.

Explore the wilderness and discover a virgin habitat. Interaction with chimpanzees is limited to 1-hour and the chimpanzee trekking team retreats to the starting point.

Your safari will escort you to a wetland sanctuary on the edges of the rainforest. This is an opportunity on safari into Uganda to interact more closely with indigenous people, explore their lifestyle and share life experiences.

Day 6: Welcome to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Travel to Queen Elizabeth is 3-hour drive south. You set out after breakfast, explore the crater areas and traverse large banana plantations. You travel in the foothills of the Ruwenzori Mountains onto the bed of Edward rift.

You will travel to Katwe; a lakeside town on Lake Edward and tour the traditional salt mining industry before checking into your hotel. Sunset game viewing drive is an exciting way of welcoming you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. 

Day 7: Game drive, afternoon boat cruise

Game viewing safaris start early morning to catch up with grazing mammals. Carnivores are also on hunt before the temperatures rise to melting levels. Elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, hyenas, several antelope and beautiful bird species are calling for the attention.

Game Drive

You will explore the Kasenyi circuit, traverse the grassland and wander into the woodlands looking for exciting wildlife sightings. You will explore the Kazinga channel on a 2-hour boat cruise in the afternoon and catch sight of wildlife trekking to the channel to cool off heat of the day.

Day 8: Tree climbing lions en route Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The travel to Bwindi, further south takes travelers through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth. You will make a detour, wander into the wilderness and explore the grasslands. In here besides other large mammal species, are unique prides of lions that are obsessed with climbing the fig trees.

You will traverse the woodlands and discover their hiding corners of the lions. You resume your travel to Bwindi, ascend the Kigezi highlands and drown in the greenery of the Bwindi rainforest.

Day 9: Trekking the Mountain gorillas

Bwindi is an unequaled adventure destination on tour of Uganda and very unique in many ways. Very few adventure safaris come close to Mountain gorilla trekking expedition. Your safari guide will escort you to gorilla trekking assembly point in time for briefing about trekking gorillas and regulations about the rainforests.

The rangers descend you into the rainforest. You wander in all corners and traverse steep valleys. The interaction with gorillas is limited to an hour and the gorilla trekking team retreats to the base station.

Many travelers opt to visit the indigenous communities and share life experiences. Others travel to Lake Bunyonyi 3-hours drive away to refresh their tired bodies and re energize after a physical mountain gorilla trekking expedition.

Day 10: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is a very popular destination on safari to Uganda and a perfect rendez vous to relax after gorilla trekking expedition.

Boat cruise is a very popular way of exploring deeper into the lake, interact with indigenous communities, refreshing and relaxing the body. You may hike into the highlands after lunch and get magnificent sceneries of the lake and her beautiful floating islands.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

You set out on 4-hour travel to Lake Mburo national park. The travel descends from the Kigezi highlands, traverses the Ankole plateaus onto the woodlands in Lake Mburo.

You arrive in time for lunch and later explore the beauty of the lake on a 2-hour boat cruise. The travel back to hotel is by coincidence an exciting game viewing safari with high chances of spotting wildlife winding up the day.

Day 12: Game drive Kampala via Equator Monument

You traverse the woodlands and wander into the grasslands on the lookout for wildlife sightings. Giraffes, leopards, buffalos, zebras, topi, elands, impala, hippos, warthogs and beautiful bird species reside in Lake Mburo National Park. You will set out on a 4-hour travel to Kampala City after the game viewing driving.

At the equator line crossing point are opportunities of freshening up, lunch, coffee, purchase Uganda safari souvenir items and taking Uganda tour memorable photos. You may have dinner at Ndere cultural centre while watching a live band performing cultural music, dance and drama.

Day 13: Explore the River Nile

You will travel to Jinja; Uganda tourism city, 80km east of Kampala. You may go on a boat cruise, explore Lake Victoria, the Nile and observe the exact spot the Nile leaves the Victoria on her 6,000km long journey to the Mediterranean Sea.

You may go water rafting at class 5 rapids at Itanda falls. Bungee jumping is possible on the edges of the Nile as are horseback riding, quad biking, water sports and other water adventure activities. Place to spend a night is determined by your flight schedule as Entebbe International Airport is 120km away.

Day 14: Departure

Your safari guide will escort you to Entebbe International Airport as per your flight schedule. This marks the end of your safari into Uganda.
