Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to your hotel in Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our company representative/driver guide who will drive you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, do a brief Kampala city tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Skyz Hotel for mid-range/Forest cottages for budget
Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (3-4 Hours)
Wake up, have breakfast and meet your driver guide to transfer you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. It’s a 3 hours drive. This rhino trekking activity takes about 2-3 hours with the Rhinos. Thereafter have lunch then connect to your lodge to rest. Dinner and overnight stay at Amuka lodge for mid-range/Guest House for budget
Day 3: Rhino tracking & Transfer to Murchison falls national park (2-3 Hours)
Wake up early, have breakfast and depart for rhino trekking activity, it’s a 2-3 hours experience. Thereafter transfer to Murchison falls en route Masindi town for lunch before you proceed to the park entering via Kichwanyobo gate. Connect to the top of the falls to explore the mighty waterfalls. Before 6 pm, drive for the ferry to connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge for Mid-range/Heritage Safari lodge for budget option
Day 4: Delta game drive and Boat cruise at the bottom of the falls
Early morning after breakfast at your lodge, embark on a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to the delta. This is where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cape buffaloes, leopards (on a lucky day), and different species of antelopes including the Uganda Kobs, Jackson hartebeest, Oribi, waterbucks among others. After the game drive, return to your lodge to refresh and have lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise to see the magnificent falls along River Nile. Cruising along the bottom of the falls will expose you to the park’s streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, different bird species and large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. After viewing the falls, return to the landing site and meet your driver and return to your lodge as above, meals on full board.
Day 5: Full day drive to Kidepo national park (7-8 hours) /Fly to Kidepo (2 hours)
Depart Murchison very early after your breakfast and begin your journey to Kidepo Valley national park that is far Northern Eastern part of Uganda, you will have several stopovers if necessary for lunch and stretching. Arrive Kidepo late evening and connect to check-in your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay Kidepo Savannah lodge/
Day 6: Game drive in Narus valley & community tour
Breakfast will be served early and drive to Narus valley for a morning game drive. Narus valley is known to posses the largest buffalo herds than anywhere else in the entire world. There are also high chances of spotting big cats on a hunt and on a lucky day; you may spot the rare cheetahs too which are endemic to Kidepo in the whole of Uganda. Head back to the lodge for lunch and embark on an evening game drive in the Narus valley again. Dinner and overnight stay at Kidepo Savannah Lodge as above
Day 7: Game drive and Hot springs visit in Kidepo Valley
Enjoy breakfast and drive to Kidepo valley for another game drive close to South Sudan. This area is best known for viewing the Ostriches and other wild cats including the cheater and not forgetting the hot springs. The park has great observation points with binoculars and you will be happy to use them and you can never have enough of a game drive in this park! Return later afternoon to unwind and rest at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above.
Day 8: Transfer to Sipi falls (Full day drive)
Very early after breakfast, depart Kidepo via Moroto and visit Sipi falls in Kapchorwa. Dinner and overnight stay at Sipi River lodge for mid-range/Budget option you will stay in a Chepkui family cottage
Day 9: All day the Sipi falls – Mount Elgon
After your early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the Sipi falls offices where you will get a guide for the Sipi falls hike. Sipi falls has 3 falls at Mount Elgon foothills that stretch to 85m, 75m and 100m accordingly. Depending on your fitness, you may visit all the 3 falls or choose to visit 2 falls. In the evening drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Sipi River lodge as above
Day 10: Transfer to Jinja 4 hours
Have breakfast at leisure and transfer drive for 4 hours to Jinja – home to the source of the Nile. Arriving at good time for lunch and drive for a tour around Jinja before you proceed to check-in your hotel. Relax for the rest of the day and spend your evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Source of the smile hotel
Day 11: Full day in Jinja activities
After your breakfast, drive to the visit falls where you can engage in water activities of your choice if interested, like the water rafting, kayaking, others horseback riding to mention but a few. Return for lunch then later afternoon connect to the source of the Nile and enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Nile and Lake Victoria. Later evening meet your driver to take you to rest at your hotel as above.
Day 12: Drive to Entebbe – Ssesse Islands
Wake up very early and depart Jinja after your breakfast, this is a 3 hours drive with great views of the countryside, enjoy views of tea and sugar plantations and also get to drive through the largest rainforest in Uganda, Mabira forest. Proceed to Entebbe to catch your 2 pm ferry that connects to Ssese islands. This ferry only crosses once a day so ensure you find it. It’s a 3 hours cruise on lake Victoria with great views of different islands. Land and connect to your hotel to relax and chill. Dinner and overnight stay at Brovad Sands lodge for mid-range/Ssese Islands beach resort for budget
Day 13: Full day leisure at the island
After your great experience of the wild, chilling and relaxing at Ssesse islands is the best way to go. You will have your breakfast at leisure. When you ready to explore the different attractions on the island, meet your driver to connect for a boat trip to Virgin Island for a nature walk, birding paradise and forest walk. Later wine-u your day on a sunset boat cruise. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel as above
Day 14: Transfer back to Kampala/Departure
Wake up very early, have breakfast and depart the island to connect for your 8 am ferry. Depending on your arrangements after the trip, you will either be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or advise us on where you wish to be dropped off.
