However, for tourists interested in bird watching safaris, the wet season (March, April and May and also November) is recommended especially since migratory birds can be seen and it is also a good time for photography due to the lush green landscapes.

How to get to Kidepo national park

Kidepo national park can be accessed through flights from Entebbe airport to the airstrip near Apoka through charter flights.

Another way to get to the national park is by driving from Kampala which takes about 10 to 12 hours using different routes such as the Kampala-Mbale-Moroto-Kotido-Kabong route or the Kampala-Gulu-Kitgum route.
