3 Days Flying option to Kidepo Given the location of Kidepo national park in the far North Eastern part of Uganda, a 3 Days Flying Safari to Kidepo is best accessed using air transport. Flights to the park are tricky as visitors should keep in mind that planes are only 4 and 7 seaters, a less number of passenger will lead to payment of extra seats by the passengers on board. Below is a detailed programme;

Day 1: Fly to Kidepo and afternoon Game Drive

Depending on your location in Entebbe, you shall start your 3 Days Flying Safari to Kidepo with a drive to Entebbe international airport; meet an Aerolink staff to help you check-in your flight to Kidepo national park. Aero-link operates only on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday departing at 12:30 hours arriving Kidepo at 14:45 hours in Kidepo.  Depart Entebbe airport aboard a scheduled domestic flight. This is a 2 hours flight that will permit you beautiful Aerial views of the lavish countryside.

You will land at Apoka airfield and meet your driver / guide waiting to transfer you to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, head out for a game drive to explore the remarkable landscapes of Kidepo including the magical Narus Valley where you will have many chances of seeing a range of game including the herds of Cape Buffaloes, African elephants, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer, Jackals and possibly Lions among others before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Hot springs visit in Kidepo Valley

Continue the 3 Days Flying Safari to Kidepo and Have breakfast and brace yourself another thrilling game drive in the vast savannah of Kidepo Valley intercepted by patches of borassus palm and the rising scenic hills. Enjoy the stunning views of the morning sun shining over the hills of Lomej, the Lotukei Mountains to the north close to the Sudan border, the Morungole range to the southern boundary of Kidepo before the rays strike down to the endless valleys of Kidepo and Narus valley.

Return to the lodge for lunch and unwind a bit before embarking on a drive to Kidepo valley close to south Sudan boarder to visit the hot springs and you can encounter Ostriches within the region although their numbers are highly threatened by poaching by south Sudanese.

Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe

Have breakfast, if interested, explore more of the park on another game drive to increase your chances of seeing what you might have missed out the previous day or stay at the lodge as you wait connect to Apoka airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe departure at 15:00 hours and arriving Entebbe at 16:30 hours.
